 A wide variety of companies have had very successful corporate events at CityROCK: large companies such as Woolworths, Discovery, Eskom and smaller ones like Touchline Photo or the Xpert Group. They all had great fun and learned a lot.

CityROCK’s 2-hour team building program includes a balance of climbing and problem-solving activities that encourage team growth. We offer the opportunity to have an exciting time away from the office – a fun-filled, informative, skill-building session that introduces the team to indoor climbing and cooperative teamwork. Our team building program focuses on fun and is carefully designed to complement the physical ability of your group.

The Corporate Climb (vertical limit)

Vertical limit is focused on both having fun and learning the skills essential for climbing.
This program allows for both team challenges and individual challenges.

CityROCK is also the home to the leading specialised outdoor gear shop in the country. We are not a Cape Union Mart, but cater to the more serious climber, hiker and outdoor sportsman. We stock top local and international brands in climbing, trekking, expedition, trail running, hiking and general outdoor equipment.

Our products don’t just cater for rock climbers but to various mountain-related activities, as well as yoga.

We have clothing, footwear and hydration packs for trail runners.

Backpacks, tents, dri-freeze food, boots, clothing, sleeping bags and general camping gear for the campers.

We stock extreme clothing, crampons, ice axes, expedition packs and lightweight and 4 season tents for those going to conquer high altitude peaks.

Trad gear and sports climbing equipment, branded clothing, approach shoes, rock climbing shoes, ropes, helmets, harnesses and everything and anything else you might need for climbing. Our climbing brands include Petzl, Wild Country, DMM, Black Diamond, La Sportiva, 5.10, Mammut, Evolv and Metolius.

We also sell prAna clothing, mats and accessories for our yoga customers.

We have everything from T-shirts, fleeces, trekking pants, ski gear and jackets which range from light wind breakers to winter down jackets and everything in between.

Our large range of footwear will take you from the local crag to the highest peaks in the Himalayas. Brands include La Sportiva, Boreal, Zamberlan, 5.10 and Adidas.

Our Gear Shop prides itself on excellent service by knowledgeable staff, who are active climbers and avid outdoor people themselves. We are happy to answer any questions you may have and help you make the right decision when buying gear.

Should you be going on a trip we would be very happy to assist you with all your requirements and if we do not have something in stock, we will be able to get it for you. Just please make sure you come and see us well ahead of time in case certain items need to be ordered in for you.
