I got an 80D for two reasons.

1.100% viewfinder coverage,
2. Weather sealing

I film everything on my 80d and I'm more than satisfied with the results. 1080p 60fps always looking sharp. Autofocus always on point

the 77D kind of irks me. I would say save some money and get the T7i, or spend the extra and get the 80D. I love my 80D.

Although they all have 24.2 MP, they are not identical sensors! The 80D sensor is 7% larger than the others. This misinformation is very common when talking about these cameras. The T7i gives you about 95 % of the features of the 80D at about 63% of the price. The picture quality is virtually identical. If you like a few more bells and whistles you pay a lot more for them on the 80D. I've used both the T7i and the 80D. There is no doubt the T7i gives the most performance for the money.

I just got the 80D for shoots that require audio monitoring. I must say that I am very happy with this camera’ capabilities

A couple months ago I chose between these 3, I chose the 80d. Yes they are all very similar, but that little extra size and weight of the 80d rlly makes a difference! The t7i and 77d felt cramped like small toys in my hand, the 80d definitely felt more sturdy and more like a "tool". I recommend going into Best Buy and holding all three. Also for those with hopes of one day upgrading to one of canon's full frames, the 80d shares the battery system with cameras all the way up to the 5d. the iso range is less on the 80d, but i see that being very minor. Anything over 12,000 iso on any of these is going to look like a grainy mess haha. So it's not like just because you CAN get to the high ISO numbers doesn't mean you should. I also believe the 80d can change ISO on smaller increments than the other two, which I find more useful. You may say in response to all this "but those minor upgrades aren't worth the extra couple hundred bucks" to which I say, CANON REFURBISHED. I got a canon 80d with a little bit of patience and looking on a site like Slickdeals to get 80d with the 18-55 lens for around $900. New that would cost 1149 I believe. Buying refurbished direct from canon has high ratings and the camera came and it looked brand new, not a speck of wear. So at $900, definitely more reason for you to get the 80d imo! Good luck!

Got a 77D about a week ago. My first ever DSLR camera. Was given a Canon EOS 3000N for free by a friend ages ago with a couple of lenses so went with Canon as I could just get body only and use the lenses from the 3000N, though I've since brought a 50mm 1.8 prime lens and a 18-135mm STM lens for the quiet and quick auto focus and the image stabilization.
