What can I (Apple) do in terms of automation?

In terms of home automation, I want to be an Apple Guy, but they have little choice in home thermo, door locks etc that work with the Apple Home hub, albeit that will sound better than both google (mini) and Alexa (dot). What can I (Apple) do in terms of automation?
