Can anyone help me out ?How to upgrade our system ?

Can anyone help me out ? We have basic ADT . Had a break in happen over the weekend, and had to replace door frame . We would like a camera to be able to see outside . Called ADT to upgrade our system and we were told an upfront out of pocket price of $795. We don't have that . Any suggestions ?

    What's the point in having ADT if when something actually happens they tell you to upgrade. My suggestion is buy a good security camera and put that money in insurance. The camera is there to prove the break-in, the insurance is there to replace your stuff. Apparently your ADT is useless.

    A good budget alternative is if you have an old smartphone, you can download the Manything app and turn your old phone into a security camera. Good if you have a window you can put it in.

    Having ADT is like getting robbed by them over and over again each and every month. Invest in these and you will get your money back after 6 months of investment. I had the Arlo Pro and it is totally worth it.

    Arlo Pro replacement batteries are $50 each and I have had to replace one after about 6 months being still on warranty, I called and the customer service they just talked in circles so I broke down and purchased a new battery, I have owned these cameras for 14 months, now I need two more batteries. so the original cost $600+ 4 camera system plus base station and now $150 in batteries in a little over a year, they also have a delay on recording that is very annoying, UPS deliveries will catch the driver driving off if at all, not parking, not walking up to the door, not dropping the package, not walking back to the truck Arlo skips all that!! and records the truck leaving...
