Ralph Breaks the Internet was amazing...

whenever an animated Disney movie is released, everyone talks about how it reminds them of how good Disney movies used to be and the fact is, Disney has been releasing solid animated movies for a while now. I think Ralph Breaks the Internet is a continuation of that :)

Needed more video game references! I did like the self-deprecating scene when Vanellope enters the Disney site. There's about 3 new characters that show up and are never really explored. Ralph "broke" the internet for about 10mins, pretty late in the film. The lesson learned and resolution happen pretty abruptly and the movies end rather quick. Also, it needed more video game references. My critique 7.5/10

I honestly enjoyed this movie. One thing in particular was that there was no twist villains or villains in general. All that this film needed was moral conflicts and dilemmas that are relevant to the story it was trying to tell and it made for some well executed drama that was needed for the lesson the film was trying to teach. It was surprisingly profound and rich with layer upon layer of deep themes centering around the two sided coin that is the internet and who gets affected by it's darker side.

I get it's a kids movie but PLEASE! Am I the only one who wants to see dark and brutally honest or dark fantasy version of all these kids movies. Like Ralph finds the Dark Web etc.

I thought Ralph Breaks the Internet was awful. The way the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope is portrayed can come across unsettling at times. I get the whole message of Ralph being clingy but it's a big man clinging to a little child. This message would've better suited a different movie. Ralph is a flanderized version of himself. His clumsiness and stupidity is exaggerated. Instead of video game references, we get internet references, but rarely ever anything clever or interesting. Most of the characters from the previous installment have much less screen time than they already had, and very few interesting characters appear to take their place. The new characters are mostly flat. The movie felt empty. Overall, I don't think it was the sequel that Wreck it Ralph needed or deserved. It felt like a cheap cash grab.

I still can't believe they referenced no nut november in this movie. Ralph was about to wreck his meat but was stopped by the Twitter bird who brought him a tweet that made him remember what month it was. Ralph was really horny, however, and busted a big fat nut that was as heavy as his hands.

What's nice about the Disney princess scene is that it actually goes somewhere. Like it wasn't just in there JUST for laughs. When Vanellope leaves, she takes with her something the princesses told her and then it leads to a segment that's very entertaining, but also important to the story :)
