I'm writing some Python after a 3-year break and ... it's so much messier/noisier than Ruby. I used to like it really much but after being exposed to Ruby for so many years seems I can't stand Python anymore. Don't want to start a flame war :fire: Just curious whether you experienced something similar?

can you give a few specific examples where Python is messier/noisier than Ruby?

Hm. Lately I sometimes get the impression that it might be good to switch to Python, Go or even NodeJS. I personally have learned to code with Ruby and am more DevOps than Developer, I love Ruby and don’t understand syntax as good as Ruby. But I see things like AWS Lambda where unfortunately only Python and/or NodeJS are supported and unfortunately this is more and more the case. If you believe various IT-News Pages, Ruby loses popularity and is often called the new Perl. Not a nice development. I can’t judge if the above mentioned languages have any other advantages over Ruby.
