How to deploy an indie mail server on vps host?

My comany usually use mailgun,mails are around 6w.Now ,users sign up are going high,my boss ready use linod to build own mail server.Which mail server is the best choice?How to make that email would not be sent to spam box of users? PS：Our  mail server only be sent to activitation letters and password recovery letters,never sending marketing emals。

2，Mail-in-a-Box，Zimbra ，Do you guys have better recommend？

    Building MTA by yourself is a matter of minutes. However, if you don't send out your emails, there will be a lot of problems. SPF, PTR, DOMAIN KEY, RBL, GREEN CHANNEL, Finger Print, ENCODING, a pile of Policy - lots of  things you're going to address. Use a professional mail provider instead of bothering yourself

    Don't build your own mail server
    you can try to  find other companies when you  feel mailgun is  expensive. Many cloud service providers offer such services.you know,like Amazon ECS

    poste.io , deploy a Docker to run and it would be fast
    If DKIM / SPF is configured right,no any letter would be in  the junk mail box. Although there are many issues, they are not as scary as those people said above.
