This meter is designed on the same platform as the Basic STS Prepayment Meter, with the major difference of including a provision for a Field-Addable Communication Module. This Module is a modem, working over SMS, GSM and GPRS, depending on the locally available carrier network. It allows the consumer for remote meter credit, and the utility for AMM: remote reading and remote insertion of engineering tokens. This meter operates ideally in conjunction with the ECMI software suite for prepayment vending management with the optional AMM module.
