We are looking for a junior Finance & Operations go-getter! This new team member will help us administrate, maintain, and further develop our financial management systems and processes, using the latest financial technology suited to a trailblazing global SaaS platform operating within the subscription economy.

Join our globally distributed team and work closely with a proven leadership team that includes an experienced Head of Department: Finance and Operations in our Cape Town office.

Core qualifications
Recently completed or studying towards a Business, Accounting, or Finance degree from a recognised tertiary institution (minimum: 2nd year passed)
Only tertiary qualifications at NQF level 7 or higher will be considered
You will need to provide proof from your tertiary institution that your qualification meets our standards for this role and also that you have completed the required number of years or credits for this role
Core responsibilities:
People:
Coach and lead a team
Interact with diverse distributed team
FinTech:
Research and apply various FinTech softwares and tools
Act as an administrative contact point with our development team
Administrate product discount coupons
Help administrate and test functionality of our payment platform, Stripe, and its related add-on integrations
Cash flow management:
Ensure accuracy of supplier invoice payments
Obtain management authorisation for payments
Quarterly review of online banking beneficiary list
Complete Balance of Payment forms for inbound foreign currency transfers
Process monthly payroll in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
Weekly cash runway update
Reconcile multiple company credit cards
Accounting: Xero
Day-to-day bookkeeping for 3 entities in multiple currencies
Manual journal adjustments
Maintain accuracy of management reports
Governance:
Local SA tax compliance: administrate EMP201, VAT201, and provide information to assist with the completion of IRP5s, as well as income tax and provisional tax returns
Generate contracts from templates
Operations management:
Data storage administration.
Administrate subscriptions to various digital platforms
Maintain domain registrations
Team productivity administration
Virtual office administration
Supply management
Other tasks that may be required from time to time:
Travel arrangements
Research
General administration – printing, scanning, filing, editing
