We are looking for an individual to help build and maintain our data pipelines, designing efficient and high performant solutions. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler, who enjoys optimizing systems, using an analytical mindset, and building them from the ground up. 

DAILY DUTIES
- Build understandings of the available data, and our data pipeline performance, through visualisation and analyses.

Having high traffic sites means we need to scale for the load. We use lots of techniques like search indexing, relational databases, caching, monitoring, image recognition, profiling, load balancing and performance tuning to name but a few.

Our software is deployed on Azure PAAS, IAAS as well as self-hosted bare metal virtualized environments.

Job Description

The primary goal of the Eventerprise Junior UX Designer is to assist with the design of the functionality of the platform and its associate products and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience. You will therefore be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, benchmarking, and building process flows, sitemaps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. In addition, you will be required to collaborate and run multiple projects effectively in conjunction with various internal and external partners, including the development team, the design team, the content team, and external consultants. This role is based at our Cape Town hub.

Requirements: 
-A degree or meaningful qualification in web design, graphic design, 
interaction design, information science, computer science, communication 
design, product design, or related discipline 
-A portfolio of work that reflect at least 2 years’ experience in user-centred 
design 
-Proven ability to produce UX collateral including initial wireframes, process 
flows, and final designs 
-Strong UX skill set including strategy, information architecture, design 
aesthetic, and usability testing 
-Proven understanding of user interaction, the customer journey, and design 
principles 


Skills & Competencies:

-Proficient in the use of mock-up tools (Figma, Sketch), Adobe suite, and 
wireframing tools 
-Ability to translate briefs (including process flows) into mock-ups within a 
short space of time 
-Strong English communication skills, both written and oral 
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to find opportunities for improvement 
-Strong analytical skills and ability to handle parallel work streams 
-Good working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 
-Understanding of responsive design principles and device specific best 
practices (iOS and Android)

-Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user 
experiences 
-Help develop new products and upgrade existing products through research, 
conceptualisation, wireframing, and mocking up user experiences 
-Design and deliver wireframes, user flows, and mockups optimized for a wide

-Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions 
-Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and 
new, functions and features 
-Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your 
designs 
-Collaborate effectively with other team members and partners 
-Take smart risks and champion new ideas 
-Analyzing usage data and traffic patterns 
-Conduct A/B tests to measure customer response 
-Review competitors’ products for additional insights 
-Build style guides to define UI elements 
-Perform user testing for individual products 
-Craft and implement surveys for direct customer feedback 
-Popup management (design, implementation, analytics) 
-Chat bot/search integration and management 
-CTA management (placement / format) 
-Ad hoc project management 
-UX/Sales/Dev alignment 
-Knowledge base design and updates
