new to neural networks and seeking some advice which network architecture to choose and how to realize it.

I'm pretty new to neural networks and seeking some advice which network architecture to choose and how to realize it. I want to find patterns in unlabeled logfiles, so its unsupervised, i think. And because it depends on time, i would currently go for an "unsupervised LSTM Network" (?).
Currently my biggest question would be how to implement such a network and if i'm even thinking in the right direction.
