The problem with ETH is that it is old, it did not have a lot of analysis and design time, and it suffers from quality problems (coupling). There are new, better thought products that do the same, better and are better structured to be modified. It is the typical problem of the pioneers. They reveal the problems that in principle are hidden and the new ones take advantage of all these problems from the analysis.

I once thought the thin fat protocol was the best explanation for blockchain value proposition, but I'm thinking whether it's too clever for its own good. For one thing, if there isn't much value in the dapps, would there be any dapps at all? A sort of catch-22. The market will probably decide where and how the value comes out of cryptos.

If there was away for the TCP/IP protocol to capture value, it would have been a cryptocurrency.

Vitalik Buterin stated in is address to the audience in the last presentation, that Casper would be released as part of the next generation of Eth (Eth2.0), which is 1 to 2 years out.

At the end of the day ETH was 10$ in january 2017. At 100$ in january 2019 it is 10x or more than 230% CAGR (compound annual growth rate). Pretty f*cking impressive and almost impossible to get returns in any other market.

The plan to move Ethereum to POS has been talked about since it was a whitepaper in 2014. They knew that mining was not part of the future but they chose to kowtow to the loudmouth gpu gaming nerd mining community that live in their mom's basement, instead of building software that works. Ethereum is the myspace of the smart contract world, because while they spin their wheels going in circles, EOS is actually adding features that developers need to build applications that don't suck

ETH has faild we all know (Scaleability in 3 years). BTC will probably die. LN is still not working. Here is why: "Rick Reacts to Lightning (Again) and brings up a previously undiscussed flaw". Will alts survive? We will see... I would like to hear a few words from you about these facts.
