Trying to choose between python or ruby as what to focus on. Really just need to get my foot in the door somewhere. Any thoughts on which would be the better choice?

Working on transitioning out of retail management at the end of this year. Hoping to do remote work. I’ve done one ROR project in the past. Trying to choose between python or ruby as what to focus on. Really just need to get my foot in the door somewhere. Any thoughts on which would be the better choice?

Honestly Django and Rails are pretty much even in terms of features and functionality at this point, there are only so many things you can need a web framework to do and both do all of them.
There is a slight edge on the Python side because of the SciPy and NumPy ecosystem, which Ruby has no equivalent to
Ditto integration with ML and big data due to Tensorflow and PySpark
(though both of those do have Ruby layers, just used waaay less than the Python equivs)
Rails still wins on speed of scaffolding and prototyping IMO though
