The variety is truly abundant. In Sichuan, there are several ancient towns and cities rich in Hui Muslim cuisine, such as Dujiangyan, Songpan, and Langzhong, all of which are very much worth visiting.

We drove from Dayuan Hui Township in Qingchuan County, Guangyuan, to Qingxi Ancient Town to break our fast (Iftar). Although there were only two tables with ten people at Qingxi Mosque, the atmosphere was truly wonderful, just like being at home. Some mothers (Anniang) were cooking fresh dishes right there at the mosque, and some respected elders (Xianglao) brought food from their homes, making it a very warm and welcoming gathering. What we ate was part of Qingxi Hui people's "Nine Big Bowls" (Jiuda Wan), which is a standard Hui banquet feast, featuring dishes like clear stewed meat, crispy fried meat, steamed meat with rice flour, braised chicken, cabbage with kelp, and other delicious items, with a balanced mix of meat and vegetables, all very homely. After our meal, the respected elders and the Imam (Akhund) kindly and warmly gave me some stewed meat, Youxiang (fried pastries), and fruits to take for my pre-dawn meal (Suhoor).

<mp-common-poi class="js_editor_mppoi appmsg_poi_iframe custom_select_card js_uneditable mp_common_widget" data-address="%E5%9B%9B%E5%B7%9D%E7%9C%81%E5%B9%BF%E5%85%83%E5%B8%82%E9%9D%92%E5%B7%9D%E5%8E%BF%E9%9D%92%E5%B9%B3%E8%B7%AF%E6%97%81" data-city="" data-districtid="" data-id="0.2226437540120605" data-img="" data-latitude="32.457256" data-longitude="104.839142" data-name="%E9%9D%92%E6%BA%AA%E5%8F%A4%E5%9F%8E" data-poiid="8065414880259809110" data-province="" data-type="2"></mp-common-poi>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045882" data-ratio="0.75" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045883" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045884" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045885" data-ratio="0.75" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045886" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045887" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045888" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045889" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img class="rich_pages wxw-img" data-aistatus="1" data-imgfileid="100045891" data-ratio="1.3333333333333333" data-s="300,640" data-type="jpeg" data-w="1080" src="https://archive.org/download/s ... ot%3B style="height: auto !important;" type="block"/>

<img data-ratio="1.33359375" data-type="jpg" data-w="1280" src="https://archive.org/download/s ...
