- JB was incorporated in the year 1994. The establishment of JB was primarily motivated by the lack of sporting facilities in the country and management’s desire to play leading role in the setting up of sports industry in Botswana.
- In the year 2001, management realized the need of introducing fashion with the sports in order to execute the needs of existing customers in Botswana.
- JB has shown substantial growth in the fashion industry and increased number of branches selling fashion and sports from 5 branches in 2003 to 32 & 6 branches in Botswana and Namibia respectively and it forecasts to open more stores over the next three years and for achieving this the company is not only targeting more stores in Botswana & Namibia but are also planning to spread its wings in the other SADC countries.
