Mobile Developer LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
Skills & Requirements
BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant technical qualification (Preferred)
Good understanding of scrum and agile practices
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
Experience implementing software solutions using design patterns and understanding of S.O.L.I.D. principles
Good understanding of mobile security topics e.g. code obfuscation, encryption, reverse engineering
Solid experience with the following:
Building user interfaces based on the iOS and Android UI standards i.e. Material design spec and iOS Human Interface guidelines
Implementing mobile functionality with the Android SDK and/or iOS Cocoa Touch
Writing unit and integration tests for Android and/or iOS, including inversion of control, mocks, stubs etc.
Working with design teams to define feasible user interface designs to achieve business goals
Implementing high fidelity designs for mobile platforms including working with Photoshop/Sketch and/or advising designers regarding design export format requirements etc.
Building and deploying mobile applications to Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store
Designing web services for mobile applications, REST, scalability, caching etc.
Consuming web services (JSON, Serialization, async networking)
Debugging Android and/or iOS applications (leaks, CPU time, memory, power, graphical rendering)
Optimising performance of mobile applications
Handling errors
Supporting mobile applications already deployed to app stores

The primary goal of the Eventerprise Junior UX Designer is to assist with the design of the functionality of the platform and its associate products and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience. You will therefore be responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, benchmarking, and building process flows, sitemaps, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. In addition, you will be required to collaborate and run multiple projects effectively in conjunction with various internal and external partners, including the development team, the design team, the content team, and external consultants. This role is based at our Cape Town hub.
Requirements:
-A degree or meaningful qualification in web design, graphic design,
interaction design, information science, computer science, communication
design, product design, or related discipline
-A portfolio of work that reflect at least 2 years’ experience in user-centred
design
-Proven ability to produce UX collateral including initial wireframes, process
flows, and final designs
-Strong UX skill set including strategy, information architecture, design
aesthetic, and usability testing
-Proven understanding of user interaction, the customer journey, and design
principles
Skills & Competencies:
-Proficient in the use of mock-up tools (Figma, Sketch), Adobe suite, and
wireframing tools
-Ability to translate briefs (including process flows) into mock-ups within a
short space of time
-Strong English communication skills, both written and oral
-Excellent attention to detail and ability to find opportunities for improvement
-Strong analytical skills and ability to handle parallel work streams
-Good working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
-Understanding of responsive design principles and device specific best

-A degree or meaningful qualification in web design, graphic design,

-A portfolio of work that reflect at least 2 years’ experience in user-centred

-Proven ability to produce UX collateral including initial wireframes, process
flows, and final designs
-Strong UX skill set including strategy, information architecture, design

Yoco is looking for a candidate who is comfortable building data infrastructure that scales exponentially year-on-year in terms of both volume and variety as more complex products are introduced into the ecosystem. You will be working closely with software engineers and data scientists to enable the delivery of actionable insights in real time. ROLE | WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
Key Responsibilities:
Set up automation
* You will find ways to turn manual, time-consuming tasks into automated systems - anything from scheduling data transformation jobs to operational process automation. You will be free to use cloud services (including AWS/GCP) to set up servers/apps to this end.
Interact with many elements of the tech stack
* Our tech stack spans several databases, pipelines and third-party services - these all need to be able to pass data back and forth. This role involves making sure that these systems operate as expected and will involve implementing changes and improvements in the way they operate.
Communication and collaboration

Familiar with Javascript (ES6 preferably), NodeJS, and other basic web technologies. Familiarity with frameworks like Truffle is even better. Must understand smart contracts written in Solidity.
Familiar with object-orientated languages like C, C++, C#. Experience with Java, Python or LLL also acceptable here.
Experienced in open source development, preferably on blockchain related projects.
Familiar with web app frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.
A degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other relevant subject.
Experience working with blockchain technology, decentralized systems and public-private key infrastructure.
Must have excellent verbal and written skills, being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level to a diverse, mostly remote team.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them to non-technical trainees.
Flexible – ability to adapt to changing markets, customers and company.
Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of activities with varying priorities.
Can perform day-to-day work, and new and/or complex assignments with minimal supervision.
Passion and enthusiasm for blockchain and the decentralization of services.
